Writing Practice – March Twelfth Two Thousand Sixteen

I learned a long time ago that the key to getting anything done is to start. The key to beginning any project is to start and the key to doing anything at all is to start.

This sounds like complete common sense and the true fact of the matter is that it absolutely is common sense. Some people though, still need to be told what to do before they do anything. There are some days when I am one of those people.

I want to be a writer. It is a dream of mine to turn words into financial rewards and be able to do anything that I want in the times between moments of inspiration. That seems like a great life to me. But before I begin that journey, I need to write something. I need to practice, I need to start. So this, is how I start. I just get behind a keyboard and go nuts.

There is absolutely nothing to write about right now so I am just thinking out loud while using my fingers to copy those thoughts. I have to concentrate on the keyboard so I actually find it kind of hard to make creative thoughts appear.

It’s okay though. I just need practice and eventually it will happen. Maybe I should try talking into a voice recorder or making video blogs. That way I could just get my thoughts out instead of trying to practice writing them on a key board.

Another thing that I need to do if I want any hope of becoming a successful writer is the be consistent. If I just make a quick post on this site every few months, nothing is going to happen. I wont get noticed at all. If however, I am consistently writing, every day, or at least once a week, i’m fairly certain that I will get noticed.

It’s just too bad that people don’t read any more. I am guilty of it. I can admit that watching a video about the news is a much faster way of getting my information than reading it. It is kind of sad, but that’s just the way that society is evolving.

I find it over whelming that there is constantly new information presented to me. I love finding new things to learn. That is why the speed of my ability to consume it is quite important to me. I think that I am going to have to start making video blogs.

Maybe I could make video blogs while driving. I just hope that I don’t get busted for distracted driving. I probably won’t though, I’m fairly clever and sneaky.

Making video blogs would definitely help my public speaking abilities. So it’s settled. I will start making videos on a consistent basis. I guess the topic is going to be me. I will document my journey through life and my struggles to become better than I was yesterday.

So that’s it for now. I’ll be back soon with another post in the near future, until then, please check out the videos that I have posted on my YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaIkzBxGv73ifO7aT5jJd6A
