Happy September the eleventh, every one. This day will go down in history as the one defining moment that made the world into the dystopian future that many science fiction writers warned us about.
I remember where I was when I heard the news. I had my TV on as I was getting ready for high school. I saw the images of the first plane hitting and thought “That sucks.” right before I left for school thinking that I just saw an accident instead of an attack.
I had no idea that there was a second plane until later in the day. It still didn’t sink into my young drug addled mind that this was a consequential moment in world history until I started to question why the American President was using this as an excuse to attack a country that had nothing to do with the attacks.
So lets take a small moment to remember the televisions that we were watching on that fateful day and also to remember all of the excellent real time war footage that was provided by the aftermath of the attacks.
This is not the television that I was watching, that was is long gone. I rarely watch television anymore, the world shouldn’t be watched, it should be experienced.
